Dataset Overview

Study Purpose: The goal of the study was to develop analysis code and a friction force computational model to gain insight from data collected with the Fecobionics device.

Data Collection: The data consist of a Python-based code in Jupyter notebook format.

Primary Conclusion: The code allows to visualize the pressures data collected from the device. The proposed friction force model allows to quantify the different mechanical forces at play during the defecation process.

Curator's Notes

Experimental Design: Code and computational model associated with the Fecobionics device studies.

Completeness: This dataset is complete.

Subjects & Samples: This is a computational model dataset; thus no subjects are described.

Primary vs derivative data: Not applicable. This is a computational study, and no primary data was collected.

Code Availability: The code is provided in the form of a Python-based Jupyter notebook. The notebook contains the core code for analyzing data from the Fecobionics device which provides the foundation for building additional analysis if needed. See the README.md for details.
