This data set describes staining of submandibular ganglion with a-bungarotoxin (BTX) and nanosensor developed by the Clark lab. BTX staining is used as a gold standard to validate the localization of nanosensor.

Study Purpose: Detailed submandibular ganglia anatomy is needed to define proper localization of devices.
Data Collection: This dataset describes submandibular ganglia staining with a-bungarotoxin (BTX) and a nanosensor developed by the Clark lab. This data set contains fluorescence multichannel images of stained submandibular ganglia taken with a Zeiss confocal microscope. BTX staining was used as a gold standard to validate the localization of the nanosensor.
Primary Conclusion: None stated
Curator's Notes
Experimental Design: This study exclusively used one adult male mouse. Submandibular ganglion samples were removed from the subject and then sectioned and stained for bungarotoxin and GFP.
Completeness: This study is part of a larger study entitled "Submandibular ganglion stained by bungarotoxin and nanosensors developed"
Subjects & Samples: A sample was extracted from the submandibular ganglion of a male B6.Cg-Tg(RP23-268L19-EGFP)2Mik/J mouse (n=1) with 28-56 days age. Sampled tissue was used for immunohistochemistry.
Primary vs derivative data: Data in the primary folder are divided by subject and contain lsm formatted images of labeled submandibular ganglia. The images can be viewed by ZEN software. The derivatives folder has various labeled images of the submandibular ganglion available in jpx format.
