Dataset Overview

This is data from an on-demand seizure study conducted in the Takano Lab at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia / University of Pennsylvania. We demonstrated that optogenetically induced seizures in the IHK epilepsy mouse model (intrahippocampal kainic acid injection model) can be used as a platform for screening anti-seizure medications (ASMs).

The data include information on the animals (Excel spreadsheet), details of all seizures (spontaneous and induced, Excel spreadsheet), and EEG traces (4 channels: 2 hippocampal and 2 cortical) in .mat file format, and graphs (Graphpad Prism version9).
