Dataset Overview

Study Purpose: This study was conducted to simulate gastric emptying and stomach motility by using a cost-efficient novel compartmental modeling framework

Data Collection: Not applicable (computational study)

Primary Conclusion: The model successfully predicted stomach motility and gastric liquid velocities for gastric emptying. In addition, the computational time was only 2.7 s to compute 180 s of real-time data

Curator's Notes

Experimental Design: Not applicable; this is a computational study.

Completeness: This dataset is complete.

Subjects & Samples: This is a computational dataset; thus no subjects are described.

Primary vs derivative data: Not applicable. This is a computational study.

Code Availability: code folder contains MATLAB code for simulating a healthy human stomach's electrical, mechanical, and fluid behavior using a compartmental model framework.
